Tonalá Owl Vase
Tonalá Owl Vase
The rich colors and detailed imagery make this vase by E. Lopez a fantastic example of Tonalá pottery. Originating with the Toalteca group in pre-hispanic times, Tonalá pottery is the tradition of using burnished clay to create decorative and utilitarian objects. From the 1950s, this piece is in excellent condition, but should be handled with care.
